Chalet Papillon - Home

Chalet Papillon is a private, detached Alpine chalet near Morzine, in the French Alps. The traditional self catered chalet has spacious living areas and cosy accommodation – ideal for a fun skiing, snowboarding or mountain holiday with family and friends. Chalet Papillon now has free wireless broadband access throughout and our guests can use many unlimited summer activities in the area for only 1 euro a day.

Chalet Papillon is located at an altitude of 1,000 metres in La Baume, a traditional mountain hamlet one hour’s drive from Geneva Airport and 20 minutes from Morzine. It has a private terrace garden and beautiful mountain views. Spacious and comfortable, the whole chalet can accommodate 8 people; however, the traditional but modern chalet still feels cosy however many you are. There is a good sized lounge containing a widescreen TV and DVD player and wifi internet. The self catered accommodation has additional kitchen and bathroom facilities over the three floors to allow two families to holiday together, but still be independent.

At the gateway to the Portes du Soleil skiing region and within easy reach of Geneva airport and Lake Geneva, the chalet is well located for enjoying the best of the Haute Savoie region all year round. The ski resorts of Morzine and Les Gets are twenty minutes by car, Thonon on Lake Geneva is just half an hour away and visits to Switzerland and Italy are all within a day’s drive. St Jean d’Aulps, a nearby village, offers all you need in the way of provisions, restaurants and ski hire. If you like walking, mountain biking, swimming, riding, tennis, canoeing, fishing, cycling or visiting or simply relaxing then many outdoor activities are nearby.

Chalet Papillon is a self-catered chalet so is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, internet access, TV and DVD. The chalet has two bathrooms and two separate toilets and the good sized lounge and the kitchen/dining areas upstairs can accommodate all the guests if required. In addition to the electric heating there are two cosy wood log burners, one in each living area, and as Chalet Papillon was completely rebuilt and insulated it has a cosy and warm feel as a ski chalet.

Our French caretakers live nearby and will prepare the chalet, welcome you and ensure your stay in the Haute Savoie is a pleasant one.
