Chalet Papillon is a private, detached Alpine chalet near Morzine, in the French Alps. The traditional self catered ski or summer mountain chalet has spacious living areas and cosy accommodation – ideal for a fun skiing, snowboarding or mountain holiday with family and friends. Free wifi throughout the chalet. It is an easy drive to many of the Portes du Soleil ski resorts such as Les Lindarets, Morzine or Les Gets. The local ski resort of Grande Terche is also worth a visit, and a local bus system runs between all resorts regularly. Or simply relax in our lovely, sunny terrace garden.

Chalet rental prices are competitive for the quality of accommodation, reflecting the short drive to the resorts. Chalet Papillon has free wireless broadband access throughout and our summer guests can use many unlimited summer activities in the area for only 1 euro a day per person.
Chalet Papillon is located at an altitude of 1,000 metres in La Baume, a traditional mountain hamlet one hour’s drive from Geneva Airport and 20 minutes from Morzine and many Portes du Soleil resorts. It has a private terrace garden and beautiful mountain views. Spacious and comfortable, the whole chalet can accommodate 8 people; however, the traditional but modern chalet still feels cosy for a small number. There is a good sized lounge containing a widescreen TV and DVD player and wifi internet. The self catered accommodation has additional kitchen and bathroom facilities over the three floors to allow two families to holiday together, but still be independent. We have now installed ski boot driers and a new washing machine/drier.
At the gateway to the Portes du Soleil skiing region and within easy reach of Geneva airport and Lake Geneva, the chalet is well located for enjoying the best of the Haute Savoie region all year round. The ski resorts of Morzine and Les Gets are twenty minutes by car, Thonon on Lake Geneva is just half an hour away and visits to Switzerland and Italy are all within a day’s drive. St Jean d’Aulps, a nearby village, offers all you need in the way of provisions, restaurants and ski hire. If you like walking, mountain biking, swimming, riding, tennis, canoeing, fishing, cycling or visiting or simply relaxing then many outdoor activities are nearby.
Chalet Papillon is a self-catered chalet so is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, internet access, TV and DVD. The chalet has two bathrooms and two separate toilets and the good sized lounge and the kitchen/dining areas upstairs can accommodate all the guests if required. In addition to the electric heating there are two cosy wood log burners, one in each living area, and as Chalet Papillon was completely rebuilt and insulated it has a cosy and warm feel as a ski chalet.

Le Chalet Papillon est situé à une altitude de 1000 m à La Baume, un petit hameau à une heure de voiture de l’aéroport de Genève, bénéficiant de vues superbes sur les montagnes dans toutes les directions. Pres du Portes du Soleil c’est bon pour des vacances de neige.
Spacieux et confortable, le chalet entier peut loger 8 personnes dans tout le chalet. Il y a grand TV et DVD dans le salon en haut et accès a l’internet libre dans tout le chalet. Il y a deux salles de bains et deux toilettes, trois chambres, un salon en haut et un salon/chambre en bas. Aussi deux cuisines.
À deux pas de la région de ski « les portes du Soleil », et du lac Leman, le chalet est idéalement situé pour savourer les beautés de la haute Savoie à longueur d’année.
Morzine est à 20 minutes en voiture, Thonon sur le lac Lleman est simplement à une demi-heure de voiture, et il est possible de faire des excursions d’une journée en Suisse et en Italie.
St Jean d’Aulps, un village voisin, offre tout ce dont vous avez besoin en matière de provisions, de restaurants, et de location de ski. Si vous aimez le randonnée pédestre, le vélo de montagne, la natation, l’équitation, le tennis, le canoe ou rafting, le tourisme ou simplement de se détendre sur le terasse, c’est tout près.
Notre concierge français habite juste à côté. Il préparera le chalet, vous accueillera, et s’assurera que votre séjour en Haute-Savoie vous est agréable. Aussi on pourrait commander des repas traditionels au chalet.
